Testissä tarkastellaan, miten pennut tottuvat uuteen tilanteeseen ja
vieraaseen ihmiseen sekä mitä ne pystyvät oppimaan testitilanteissa.
Testin avulla voidaan arvioida mm. millaiset asiat tai millainen
toiminta on koiralle palkitsevaa.

Testi toteutettiin tilassa, jossa oli alueittain tutumpia ja vieraampia
esineitä ja jonka keskellä testaaja odotti pennun lähestymistä.
Pennut tutkivat ensisijaisesti tilaa ja tervehtivät testaajaa sen
jälkeen. Lyhyen tutustumisen jälkeen pennut jatkoivat alueen
tutkimista ja jokainen niistä kartoittikin tilan kattavasti. Tämä
näkyi ensimmäisellä testikierroksella siten, että pennut olivat
loppua kohden yhä kiinnostuneempia testaajasta ja pystyivät
jäämään tilaan yksin huolestumatta. Toisella testikierroksella
pennut ensisijaistivat testaajan tervehtimisen ja tutkivat ympäristöä
sen jälkeen tämän kanssa

Kaikki pennut olivat hyvin totutettuja ihmisen käsiteltävänä
olemiseen. Leikkimisestä kiihtyminen ei juuri hidastanut syliin
rentoutumista eikä aiheuttanut herkistymistä kosketukselle. Pennut
myös leikkivät avoimesti testaajan kanssa ja väsyneenä suosivat
mieluummin silittelyä. Etsiminen ja kantaminen olivat pennuille
palkitsevimpia käyttäytymisiä testitilanteiden aikana.

Testin perusteella näyttää, että pennuilla on erinomaiset
edellytykset aktiiviseen arkeen ja harrastamiseen. Toivon kaikille
terveyttä ja monia vauhdikkaita vuosia!

Kennel O’zone, A2-litter, age 52 days (born September 19th, 2024)

The test examines how the puppies get used to a new situation and a
stranger, as well as what they can learn in test situations. The test
can be used to evaluate e.g. what kind of things or activities are
rewarding for the puppy.

The test was carried out in a space where there were familiar and
unfamiliar objects places in each area. The tester waited in the middle
of the area for the puppy to approach. Puppies explored the area first
and greeted the tester afterwards. After a short familiarization, each
puppy continued exploring the area and each of them explorer the area
thoroughly. As a consequence, puppies were more and more interested in
interaction with the tester towards the end, and they were able to be
left alone without causing worry or anxiety. In the second test round,
the puppies prioritized greeting the tester and then explored the
environment with him.

All puppies are used to handling, and they seem to downright enjoy it.
The arousal caused by playing did not seem to make puppies restless in
handling situation and it didn't sensitize them to touch. Also, puppies
played openly with the tester and prefer to be petted when tired.
Searching and carrying were the most rewarding behaviors for the puppies
during the test situations.

Based on the test, all puppies have excellent background for active
everyday life and hobbies. I wish everyone health and many eventful
years!
